I have had a long read on your blog. I think you're really tough and brave! I've come to realize, from being really ill the last couple of years, that people can (of course) not relate to how it feels, and to live with someone who is always tired and complaining (that's me) can be trying. Still didn't like that you were told you are irritating :) I think you're incredibly active and social under the circumstances!
I have not done treatment yet. Will start sometime in the beginning of next year I'm told. I do seem to be one of the "severe symptomatic" though, or is it chronic fatigue? I don't know. What I do know Is my life changed from active, working, lively and happy to constant fatigue and horrible migraines half of the time in the course of a few years. Liver is not all that healthy either, grade 3, in spite of healthy living. Hcv can obviously creep up on you and start doing serious damage without apparent negative predictors.
So the reason I don't read/comment regularly is that I'm feeling crap. But I will follow your blog till the end, and wishing for the best outcome!
Best regards to you from CC in Sweden. And Happy Thanksgiving! (what is that ? eating turkey i know, but what more?)
I sold my real estate business in 2006 and retired and I attend Sacramento State University as an art major. I live in Carmichael with my girl friend of 7 years. I had HCV for 39 years with Level 2 fibrosis, genotype 1A, started treatment May 10th, 2007 with Peg-Intron Ribavirin. Medium/heavy side effects, fatigue/depression being the most prevalent. I cleared the virus at 8 weeks, treated for 11 months, finished April 10th, 2008 and I am virus free 6 months post treatment. I am one of the lucky ones.
