- I sold my real estate business in 2006 and retired and I attend Sacramento State University as an art major. I live in Carmichael with my girl friend of 7 years. I had HCV for 39 years with Level 2 fibrosis, genotype 1A, started treatment May 10th, 2007 with Peg-Intron Ribavirin. Medium/heavy side effects, fatigue/depression being the most prevalent. I cleared the virus at 8 weeks, treated for 11 months, finished April 10th, 2008 and I am virus free 6 months post treatment. I am one of the lucky ones.

Hang ten and ride that wave eye on the the crest.
You can do this...sometimes it helps to be off by oneself and then return with a new appreciation of those we love and who love us.
Others can support us but treatment we do alone they can't make the treatment demons any less they can only offer a cup of tea or a smile of encouragement but sometimes that is enough no advise or added drama needed.

Merry Christmas to you! Sorry I'm so late checking in, just got back from 2 days of festivities, which made up for last year being a non-event, for the same reason you're not doing all that great right now. Hang in there, soon you'll have less than 100 days to go. All the best to you and Magda.
